Collection: Kundan
Kundan is Sirini's house signature — a traditional Rajasthani and Mughal-era setting technique, not a stone in itself. Stones (or glass, in our imitation and fashion pieces) are set into a gold-toned base using a foiling technique, where a thin reflective foil sits behind the stone to give it that distinctive flat-topped glow, rather than the faceted sparkle of a cut diamond.
Every piece in this collection is handcrafted in our own Mumbai workshop, founded by Nishit Savla in 2017 — genuine Kundan setting technique, imitation and fashion jewellery, not gold, diamond, or precious metal. Many of our Kundan pieces pair the setting with Meenakari enamel work on the reverse, and some use Polki-style uncut stone shapes for a more organic sparkle — so a single necklace set, earring pair, or bangle can layer two or three traditional techniques into one piece.

About Kundan
What is Kundan?
Kundan is a traditional Rajasthani and Mughal-era setting technique, not a stone. A thin reflective foil is placed behind each stone before it is set into a gold-toned base, which gives Kundan its distinctive flat-topped glow rather than the faceted sparkle of a cut diamond. Sirini's Kundan pieces are handcrafted in our own Mumbai workshop.
Is Kundan from Sirini real gold?
No. Every piece is 18–22K gold plating over a brass or copper base — fashion and imitation jewellery, not solid gold, diamond, or natural gemstones. We say this plainly on every product page because the look is meant to stand in for fine jewellery, not to be mistaken for it.
Where is it made?
In our own workshop in Santacruz West, Mumbai. Sirini Jewellery was founded in 2017 by Nishit Savla and manufactures its own pieces — stones are hand-set and each piece is checked before dispatch. You can also visit the Mumbai showroom in person.
How long does the gold plating last?
With regular wear and reasonable care, typically 1–3 years, and considerably longer for pieces worn only occasionally. Plating is a surface layer, so lifespan depends on wear: perfume, sweat, water and friction all wear it faster. Put jewellery on last, take it off first, and store pieces dry and separately. Plating and polish are covered by a 1-year warranty.
Is it suitable for weddings and daily wear?
Both, with a caveat. Our heavier bridal designs are built for occasion wear — weddings, sangeet, mehendi, receptions and festivals. Lighter pieces from Daily Wear are the ones we'd recommend for everyday use, since constant contact wears any plated finish faster than occasional wear does.
Does Sirini deliver across India?
Yes — we ship anywhere in India for a flat ₹379, typically arriving in 5–7 business days, with Cash on Delivery available. We currently do not ship internationally. Defective pieces are covered by a 7-day exchange.
