Knowing which is which, and what to check before you pay, makes a real difference to what arrives. What is the difference between a manufacturer and a reseller?

A manufacturer makes the jewellery in its own workshop: it designs the piece, sets the stones, finishes and plates it. How do I know if Kundan jewellery is real gold?

Do not rely on the word "Kundan" alone. Kundan describes a stone-setting technique, not a material, so a Kundan piece can be fine gold or an affordable fashion piece. Check whether the listing says gold-plated, imitation or artificial, what the base metal is, and what the stones are.
