Navratri 2026 Colours: Nine Days, Nine Looks and the Jewellery to Match
Sirini JewelleryShare
Navratri 2026 runs from Sunday 11 October to Monday 19 October, and each of the nine days has a colour that many families dress in. This guide lists the 2026 colours day by day and suggests fashion jewellery for each. Colour lists differ between regions and families, so treat this as the commonly followed sequence and use your own family's if it differs.
Navratri 2026 colours day by day
- Day 1, Sunday 11 October: orange (Shailaputri)
- Day 2, Monday 12 October: white (Brahmacharini)
- Day 3, Tuesday 13 October: red (Chandraghanta)
- Day 4, Wednesday 14 October: royal blue (Kushmanda)
- Day 5, Thursday 15 October: yellow (Skandamata)
- Day 6, Friday 16 October: green (Katyayani)
- Day 7, Saturday 17 October: grey (Kalaratri)
- Day 8, Sunday 18 October: purple (Mahagauri)
- Day 9, Monday 19 October: peacock green (Siddhidatri)
The sequence depends on the weekday on which Navratri begins, so the day-wise list changes from year to year. In 2026 it begins on a Sunday, which is why Day 1 is orange.
Jewellery to match each colour
The simplest approach is to let the outfit carry the colour and keep the jewellery in a finish that works with it. Sirini's white, ruby (a deep red), green, mint and pink collections cover several of the nine days directly.
- White (Day 2): white Kundan and pearl pieces from the white collection.
- Red (Day 3): ruby-red stones from the ruby collection against a red outfit read as one rich colour; against a contrast outfit they act as the accent.
- Green and peacock green (Days 6 and 9): the green and mint collections sit well with green and teal outfits.
- Purple (Day 8): pearl or pink stones are soft partners for purple.
- Orange, royal blue, yellow and grey (Days 1, 4, 5 and 7): Sirini does not have separate collections for these shades. The antique gold edit and pearl pieces are neutral enough to sit with any of them.
How to dress nine nights without nine sets
Buy for the whole festival, not for each night. One neutral base, such as a gold-finish or pearl set, can carry several days, and the smaller pieces then do the changing: Navratri rings, earrings and bangles in the day's shade. Because garba and dandiya mean a lot of movement, our garba jewellery guide explains which pieces stay put on a dance floor and how to protect gold-plated pieces from sweat. The full Navratri edit gathers the festival pieces in one place, and our guide to jewellery colour by outfit helps with matching.
Pieces to look at
For a neutral base that suits every colour on the list, try the Navratri Pearl Necklace Set. For the green days, the Navratri Green Pearl Earring Set adds colour with little weight. To change the look night by night, the Navratri Exclusive Gold-Plated Ring Set and the Navratri Antique Gold-Plated Ring Set give you several rings in one purchase, and the Navratri Meenakari Choodiyan adds hand-painted colour at the wrist.

Common questions
What are the Navratri 2026 colours?
Day by day: orange, white, red, royal blue, yellow, green, grey, purple and peacock green, from Sunday 11 October to Monday 19 October. Some regions and families follow a different sequence.
When does Navratri start in 2026?
Sharad Navratri 2026 begins on Sunday 11 October and ends on Monday 19 October.
Do I have to wear the colour of the day?
No. It is a custom many families follow rather than a rule, and practice varies, so wear what suits you and your family's tradition.
Which jewellery goes with all nine colours?
Gold-finish and pearl pieces are the most neutral, so they work with every shade on the list. Add colour through smaller pieces such as rings or bangles.
Is gold-plated jewellery suitable for garba?
Yes, if you choose lighter pieces that stay secure when you dance, and keep them away from sweat and perfume. See our garba jewellery guide for what to wear and how to care for it.
Can I return jewellery if the colour does not match my outfit?
Sirini does not offer change-of-mind returns. Defective, damaged or wrong items can be exchanged within 7 days, so check the colour with us on WhatsApp before you order.
