When to Order Bridal Jewellery Online, and How to Carry It to the Wedding
Sirini JewelleryShare
Order bridal jewellery at least four weeks before the first function, and six to eight weeks if you can. That covers delivery, a few days to test every piece with the outfit, and the time an exchange would need if something arrives defective, damaged or wrong. This guide gives the timeline, what to check on arrival, and how to pack and carry the jewellery to the wedding.
The timeline, working backwards
- Four weeks before (the latest): place the order. Sirini packs orders within 1 to 2 business days of confirmation. Ordering six to eight weeks ahead leaves more room to see pieces together and swap anything that does not suit the outfit.
- About three weeks before: the order usually arrives, typically within 5 to 7 business days of dispatch depending on your location.
- Within 7 days of delivery: unpack, check and test-wear every piece. Exchanges are accepted within 7 days of delivery for a defective, damaged or wrong item.
- One to two weeks before: if a piece needs exchanging, the replacement is a second shipment, so this is the buffer that makes it safe.
- The week of the wedding: final try-on of the full look, then pack.
These are working estimates, not guarantees. Delivery times are estimates and depend on the carrier and your pin code.
What to check when the parcel arrives
- Open each piece against the order and the photos on the product page, in daylight.
- Check every hook, screw back, pin and clasp, and look for loose or missing stones.
- Try the piece with the actual outfit and make-up, and for head jewellery such as a passa or a kalgi, with the hairstyle planned for the day.
- Keep the original packaging, tags and the pieces unworn, because exchanges are for unused, unworn items in their original packaging with tags.
Sirini does not accept returns for change of mind, so the test-wear is the point at which a wrong colour or fit should be caught. To request an exchange, email sirinijewellery@gmail.com or call +91 98331 14467 within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the item.
How to pack it for the wedding
- Keep each piece in its own pouch or box so stones and pearls do not scratch each other. Pearls are the most fragile part, so give them their own space.
- Lay chains and kaan chains flat so they do not tangle, and keep hooks and pins in a small pouch of their own.
- Carry the jewellery in hand luggage or with you, not in a bag that is checked in or left in a car.
- Pack a spare: a small pouch with a few extra hooks, hair pins and a soft cloth.
- Put each piece on last, after hair, make-up and perfume, and take it off first. The care guide has the full routine.
Ordering for a destination or overseas wedding
Sirini ships to 28 countries for a flat Rs 1,400 per order, and delivery typically takes 5 to 7 business days depending on location. Allow longer for customs and the same exchange window, and consider delivery to the venue city or a relative's address so the parcel is there before you are.
What to order first
Start with the pieces that depend on fit or the outfit: the necklace for the neckline (see which necklace for which neckline), then head jewellery, then the small pieces. The bridal jewellery checklist lists every piece function by function, and what to check before buying a passa or kalgi online covers head jewellery in detail.
