Delicate Oval Round Kundan Kamarband

An oval-motif Kundan kamarband — the waist belt worn over a saree or lehenga. One of the oldest pieces in Indian bridal dressing, and one of the most under-considered: as well as ornament, a kamarband does real work holding drape in place through a long day.

Handcrafted in Sirini's own Mumbai workshop, with each stone foil-set by hand in the Kundan technique.

How to wear it

A kamarband works best when the rest of the look is coordinated to it — pair with a long set and maang tikka in the same stone colour and metal tone. Sits at the natural waist over a saree, slightly higher over a lehenga.

Care

Keep away from water, perfume and sweat — moisture behind the Kundan foil dulls it permanently. Store flat in a pouch rather than coiled. Plating and polish are covered by a 1-year warranty.
