Delicate Oval Round Kundan Kamarband

The Delicate Oval Round Kundan Kamarband is a kamarband from Sirini Jewellery. The kamarband is the waist belt worn over a saree or lehenga. As well as ornament it does real work, holding drape in place through a long day — one of the oldest and most practical pieces in Indian bridal dressing.

Handcrafted in Sirini's own Mumbai workshop — the stones are hand-set in the Kundan technique, with foil worked in behind each one.

How to wear it

It sits at the natural waist over a saree, slightly higher over a lehenga. Coordinate it to a long set and maang tikka in the same stone colour and metal tone.

Care

Keep away from water, perfume and sweat — moisture can get behind the Kundan foil and dull it permanently. Put jewellery on last and take it off first, wipe with a dry soft cloth only, and store in a pouch away from other pieces. Plating and polish are covered by a 1-year warranty.
