The Imperial Emerald Drop Kalira is a bridal kalira from Sirini Jewellery in emerald-green Kundan with a single long drop below the dome. Kaliras are the dome-shaped danglers tied to the bride's bangles at the chooda ceremony, traditionally by unmarried sisters and friends. They hang from the wrist and chime as the hand moves.

Handcrafted at Sirini's own workshop in Santacruz West, Mumbai — the dome is stone-set by hand and each drop is strung and balanced so the kalira hangs evenly.

How to wear it

Tie them onto a red or white chooda or bangle stack, one kalira to each wrist or both on the dominant hand. Unlike a cascading kalira, a single-drop shape hangs straight and stills quickly — easier through a long ceremony.

Care

Emerald-green Kundan on a kalira dulls if damp gets behind the foil, so keep this one away from water, perfume and sweat. Wipe the dome and drop with a dry soft cloth after the ceremony, and put it on last and take it off first. Keep it in its own pouch, away from other pieces, so the long drop is not knocked.
