The Imperial Ruby Drop Kalira is a bridal kalira from Sirini Jewellery in ruby-red Kundan with a single long drop below the dome. Kaliras are the dome-shaped danglers tied to the bride's bangles at the chooda ceremony, traditionally by unmarried sisters and friends. They hang from the wrist and chime as the hand moves.

Handcrafted at Sirini's own workshop in Santacruz West, Mumbai — the dome is stone-set by hand and each drop is strung and balanced so the kalira hangs evenly.

How to wear it

Tie them onto a red or white chooda or bangle stack, one to each wrist or both on the dominant hand. Ruby drops match a red lehenga directly rather than contrasting it.

Care

The long ruby-red drop and the Kundan dome on this kalira should stay dry, so keep it away from water, perfume and sweat. Fix it on last, remove it first and wipe with a dry soft cloth. Store it in a pouch away from other pieces, with the drop hanging free so it does not bend or catch.
