Jannat Ruby Kundan Antique Gold-Plated Hathphool

The Jannat Ruby Kundan Antique Gold-Plated Hathphool is a hathphool in an antique gold finish from Sirini Jewellery. The hathphool (or panja) covers the back of the hand — a central motif linked by chains to rings on the fingers and a bracelet at the wrist. It is a bridal-day piece, worn on the mehendi hand.

Handcrafted in Sirini's own Mumbai workshop — the stones are hand-set in the Kundan technique, with foil worked in behind each one; and the antique finish is a darkened plating that brings out the carved detail.

How to wear it

Wear it on your dominant hand so it shows in photographs and while you gesture. Match it to your bangles and a ring on the other hand; keep the wrist otherwise clear so the chains sit flat.

Care

Keep away from water, perfume and sweat — moisture can get behind the Kundan foil and dull it permanently. Put jewellery on last and take it off first, wipe with a dry soft cloth only, and store in a pouch away from other pieces. Plating and polish are covered by a 1-year warranty.
