Puja Kundan Jhumkis

The Puja Kundan Jhumkis are a fuller bridal-scale jhumki — a Kundan-worked top, a deep bell ringed with metallic beads, and a row of small pearl drops around the mouth of the bell.

Made by hand at Sirini's workshop in Santacruz West, Mumbai. The bell is closed by hand and weighted so it hangs straight, and the pearl fringe is strung on and knotted one drop at a time.

• Materials: 18–22K gold plating over a brass base, hand-set Kundan stones and hand-strung imitation pearls — fashion and imitation jewellery, not solid gold or real pearls

How to wear it

This is a statement pair, so let it lead — a plain choker or short necklace set is enough, and a matching jhumki-friendly hairstyle keeps the drop visible. Use the support chain if you are dancing.

Care

Keep it away from water, perfume and sweat, put it on last and take it off first, and wipe it with a dry soft cloth before storing it apart from your other pieces. Pearls dull fast against perfume and hairspray — spray first, dress second, and never the other way round. Plating and polish are covered by a 1-year warranty.
