Signature Kundan Kalira

The Signature Kundan Kalira is a kalira from Sirini Jewellery. Kaliras are the dome-shaped danglers tied to the bride's bangles at the chooda ceremony, traditionally by unmarried sisters and friends. They hang from the wrist and move and chime as the hand moves.

Handcrafted in Sirini's own Mumbai workshop — the stones are hand-set in the Kundan technique, with foil worked in behind each one.

How to wear it

Tie them onto a red or white chooda or bangle stack, one kalira to each wrist or both on the dominant hand. They are meant to be seen from above during the ceremony, so keep sleeves clear of the wrist.

Care

Keep away from water, perfume and sweat — moisture can get behind the Kundan foil and dull it permanently. Put jewellery on last and take it off first, wipe with a dry soft cloth only, and store in a pouch away from other pieces. Plating and polish are covered by a 1-year warranty.
