Sirini Emerald Kundan Kalira

The Sirini Emerald Kundan Kalira is a bridal kalira from Sirini Jewellery in emerald-green Kundan, the signature Sirini dome shape. Kaliras are the dome-shaped danglers tied to the bride's bangles at the chooda ceremony, traditionally by unmarried sisters and friends. They hang from the wrist and chime as the hand moves.

Handcrafted at Sirini's own workshop in Santacruz West, Mumbai — the dome is stone-set by hand and each drop is strung and balanced so the kalira hangs evenly.

How to wear it

Tie them onto a red or white chooda or bangle stack, one kalira to each wrist or both on the dominant hand. Green kaliras contrast a red lehenga rather than matching it — pick the green up in the maang tikka.

Care

Keep it away from water, perfume and sweat — moisture that gets behind the Kundan foil dulls the stones permanently. Put it on last and take it off first, wipe with a dry soft cloth, and store it in a pouch away from other pieces. Plating and polish are covered by a 1-year warranty.
