How to wear it
Pin it above the ear on the side the hair is parted towards, with a small maang tikka on the parting. Keep the earring on that side modest so the face is not crowded.
Care
Keep it away from water, perfume and sweat — put the piece on last, take it off first, and wipe it only with a dry soft cloth. The fanned tips are the most delicate part — they catch on hair and dupatta fabric, so unpin it with care. Lay it flat in its pouch, not stacked with other jewellery.
