Teej Kundan Ghungroo Payal

The Teej Kundan Ghungroo Payal carries a row of tiny ghungroo bells along its lower edge so it chimes softly with each step, with clear Kundan stones set along the chain above.

Sirini makes it by hand in its Santacruz West workshop in Mumbai, each stone hand-pressed over foil in the Kundan technique.

How to wear it

Wear them over bare feet for Teej pujas and family lunches, where the sound is half the point. Match the gold to your bangle stack rather than to heavy earrings, and skip a second anklet so the bells stay clear.

Care

Keep the pair away from water, perfume and sweat and wipe them dry after each wear — the bells tarnish first where they rub. Put them on last and take them off first, and store them flat so the chains do not tangle. Plating and polish are covered by a 1-year warranty.
